One of the most impressive aspects of Bowmanville Rotary Ribs and Brews is the incredible amount of money raised for local and international causes. Over the past 12 years, Ribs and Brews has raised over $1,200,000 for various local and international charitable initiatives.
This support includes organizing and executing community clean-ups, sponsoring the fish ladder in Bowmanville Creek, providing annual support to Matawa First Nations Reserve’s Educational program, offering aid to individuals and families dealing with significant life-altering illnesses such as cancer, epilepsy, diabetes, heart disease, ALS, and supporting research for finding cures for these diseases through associations.
Ribs and Brews also contributes to the Respite Program, funding for Clarington Older Adults, supporting students who make significant contributions to local and international communities, and aiding local youth initiatives like the highly effective Fire House Youth Centre that focuses on helping high-risk youth.In addition to local impact, Ribs and Brews extends its support internationally by contributing to initiatives such as international immunization against polio, building schools in Laos, supporting the Disaster Relief Shelter Box Program, and packaging meals for nearly a million people distributed worldwide.
